Roles and permissions

Grant operators only the Console capabilities they need.

Roles control Console visibility and actions. They do not grant access to private services.

Create a custom role#

  1. Open Settings → RBAC.
  2. Choose Create Role.
  3. Name the role and optionally inherit from a parent.
  4. Select only the capabilities required for the operator’s tasks.
  5. Save, then assign the role from Users.

Built-in Owner, Admin, User, and Readonly roles are managed by PulseHA. Custom roles can be edited or deleted when no users or groups depend on them. Only an owner can assign Owner.

Navigation and setup actions are permission-gated, so two operators may see different checklists or pages. If a task is missing, ask an organization owner to review the role rather than sharing a higher-privilege account.
